What have we been up to in May? An update on our outreach and engagement work

April brought a wave of fresh talent and skills to Healthwatch Greenwich's team.
Volunteers

These incredible new recruits have injected an electrifying energy into our team, boosting our capacity to create meaningful change. With a diverse set of skills, our new volunteers have set the stage for amazing new projects!

HWG knows that good conversations can change lives. We brewed up something special with a coffee morning at Willow Dene, where parents and caregivers gathered to talk about health and care services. From steaming cups of tea to heartfelt discussions, Healthwatch Greenwich is building bridges, and creating a support network that will keep the conversation going!

One standout event in Healthwatch Greenwich's recent activities was our participation in the Careers Social at Sherard's Road Day Centre. We got the opportunity to talk with carers of adult children with learning disabilities and understand their struggles and needs.

Finally, we believe in igniting sparks in young hearts for careers in healthcare! We had the opportunity to attend the Careers in Health event held at the University of Greenwich. We talked with students, sharing our insider knowledge about the healthcare sector. But we didn't stop there! We also attended the ILD event, making sure that academics and other professionals in the sector know about our project and work!
