What to do if you see someone sleeping rough

The Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated across London. This means councils have opened emergency provisions to make sure people can be brought off the streets into somewhere warm.

StreetLink London

StreetLink London exists to help end rough sleeping in the capital by enabling members of the public to connect people sleeping rough with the local services that can support them.

Sleeping outside is always dangerous, but extreme winter temperatures can kill. When the weather is forecast to drop below zero degrees, SWEP ensures that vulnerable people are protected.

How does it work?

If you are concerned about someone over the age of 18 that you have seen sleeping rough in London, contact Streetlink

It is important to note that if you think the person you are concerned about is under 18 please do not contact StreetLink but instead call the police on 999.
