A new NHS treatment, semaglutide (Wegovy), will be available this summer for people in Greenwich with cardiovascular disease who are overweight (BMI 27+) and have had a heart attack, stroke, or serious circulation problems, offering a proven 20% reduction in risk of future heart attacks and strokes when combined with lifestyle changes and existing medications.
