Healthwatch Greenwich is thrilled to announce that we have won the Employer Impact Award at the Greenwich Employability Awards, commemorating our exceptional dedication to shaping future talent in the health and public sector. Other finalists in our category included GSK and AstraZeneca.

Healthwatch Greenwich has collaborated with the University of Greenwich for several years to provide opportunities to emerging talent across our community development, research, and outreach work.

Engagement Manager Kiki Bourcha commented, “Our commitment to creating opportunities for Greenwich residents and students is one of our top priorities at Healthwatch Greenwich. Our volunteers, interns, and placement students are encouraged to learn different skills and explore work across all our departments. The enthusiasm, fresh perspectives, and innovative ideas that students bring to our organisation are invaluable. Their dedication and curiosity not only contribute significantly to our mission but also help us grow and adapt in an ever-changing environment.”

Healthwatch Greenwich Chief Executive Officer Joy Beishon added, “This award is a significant moment for our team, where our ethos, and hard work have been recognised. Our focus on residents and students, particularly those who may not have had ample opportunities, highlights our contribution to increasing social mobility. Many of our volunteers, interns, and placement students have successfully leveraged their experience with us to gain a foothold in their desired careers. We extend our gratitude to students and staff from the University of Greenwich, whose support has greatly enriched our team. We also congratulate GSK and AstraZeneca for their continued efforts in shaping the health and public sector alongside us and providing invaluable opportunities for students to advance their careers."
