About Healthwatch Greenwich
We are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services in Royal Greenwich. We’re here to make sure that those running services put people at the heart of care.
Our sole purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services and to speak out on their behalf. We work to get services right for now and the future.
Role Description
You will work with Healthwatch Greenwich to ensure that the views of patients, carers and families are taken into consideration when health services are being planned or developed across south-east London. You will help facilitate the “patient voice” being heard within the South East London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the Integrated Care System, and health and care services in Greenwich and throughout south-east London. You will work alongside patient group members from Bexley, Bromley, Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark. The group is chaired by the Director, South East London Healthwatch. Remuneration
The role is not paid, but out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed for travel, refreshments, care of dependants, including children, administration costs, e.g. data charges/mobile phone minutes, postage, phone calls, stationery, cost of attendance at events/courses when participating on behalf of the Healthwatch South-East London Patient Group.
Location
Most meetings will be held on digital platforms. Occasional meetings in Greenwich and central London may be required.
Time commitment
Up to six 1.5 hour group meetings per year, plus occasional strategic meetings as required. Each session will require reading/review of related papers. There may be opportunities to join sub-committees and/or advisory groups, depending on areas of expertise.
