Are you passionate about improving and developing local maternity care services for women, birthing people and their families?

NHS South East London Clinical Commissioning Group is recruiting for the role of Co-Chair to Lead the Greenwich Maternity Voices Partnership. 

The MVP is an independent body which acts as a critical friend to maternity services ensuring that the voices of those using maternity services contribute to making improvements. The MVP is led by an independent Chair and Co-Chair.

This role is a 2 year fixed term post with potential to extend beyond this. The role offer’s flexible hours but does have some fixed meeting times with maternity care services. 5 days per month, which is shared between the borough’s chair and co-chair. MVP Chairs/Co Chairs receive renumeration for expenses, and are provided with an induction, and training package to support them.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for women, birthing people and families, as co-chair, you will have a role in

  • Coordinating and identifying any themes gathered through service user engagement opportunities and community events
  • Actively encouraging seldom heard voices to be involved
  • Actively contributing to the improvement of maternity services

The role requires good communication and an ability to represent the views of service users in the area. The successful candidate will have recent experience of using maternity services directly, or indirectly, and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for improvement in maternity care.
