Junior Doctor Strike action: 11-15 April 2023

This week (10-15th April) will see strike action by junior doctors over several days from 11th-15th. Find out how this may affect services in Greenwich.

This means that Emergency Departments (A&E) in all hospitals across south east London are likely to be much busier than usual and some outpatient clinics may be cancelled. If your appointment is affected, you will be notified, otherwise please attend your appointment as scheduled.

Although all emergency services will be working, please be aware that this will be a reduced service and we would ask you to think carefully and choose the right service to get the help you need.

  • Life-threatening emergency or serious injury: call 999 or go to your nearest Emergency Department (A&E)
  • Medical attention and advice: contact your GP
  • If you cannot contact your GP: visit NHS 111 online
  • Mental health emergency: visit NHS 111 online or call the Oxleas 24hour crisis line on 0800 330 8590.
