Doctors go on five-days strike from 24 February

A five-day strike by doctors is likely to increase pressure on hospitals across South East London Here's how to get the help you need!

Doctors are striking from Saturday 24 to Wednesday 28 February. The five-day strike is likely to affect health services. During this time, hospitals across south east London are likely to be much busier than usual.

Please help us by sharing this message widely.

If you, or the people you support, need help from the NHS, please:

  • Plan ahead, if possible, if you need pharmacy service over the bank holiday. See the guide to the opening hours for pharmacies.
  • Only go to the Emergency Department (A&E) or call 999 for a life-threatening emergency or serious injury
  • If you are unwell, contact your GP
  • Outside GP hours, go to NHS 111 online
  • For a mental health emergency go to NHS 111 online
  • People who don’t have internet access can call NHS 111 by dialling 111
  • And you can also visit your local pharmacy for expert advice and medicines.
