The NHS 10-Year Plan: how can I get involved?

To shape the 10-Year Health Plan for England, the government have developed the Change NHS website, where you can submit feedback on your experiences and ideas for change. Read more below on how you can get involved.
Change NHS

The 10-Year Health Plan is part of the government's mission to create a better and more sustainable national health service.

The first step in this process was Lord Darzi's independent review of the NHS in England, which aimed to identify key health service challenges. Based on the findings from this review, the government is developing a plan in consultation with members of the public, patients, carers, NHS staff and organisations.

Members of the public alongside health and care staff can submit feedback on their experiences and ideas for change via the Change NHS website which will be active over the next several months.

The website is part of a series of events designed to gather ideas and opinions from people across the country.

Who can take part in this engagement?

  • Everyone over the age of 16 living in England. Participation is entirely voluntary.
  • There are certain questions aimed at those working in the health and care sector to ensure they can share their views and experiences, and others written specifically for those who use services.

What is the difference between public and staff feedback?

  • Staff and the public will both have unique insights about what needs to change in the NHS, which government ministers need to hear as they write the 10-Year Health Plan for England.
