Have your say: Call for evidence on visiting rights in care settings
Have you, a loved one, or someone you support been affected by restrictions on visiting in care homes, hospitals, or hospices?

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is reviewing how well the Care Quality Commission’s Regulation 9A: Visiting and Accompanying is working, and they want to hear from you.
We’re encouraging people in Greenwich to take part in a focus group to help shape how visiting rights are protected in the future. Whether you're a resident, family member, advocate, care worker, provider, or health professional, your views matter.
What's involved?
Focus groups will be held online via Microsoft Teams and last around two hours. Discussions will explore the impact of visiting restrictions, how Regulation 9A has been applied, and what needs to change to better protect people’s rights.
Focus groups run from 24 June to 10 July 2025
Online via Microsoft Teams
