Help Shape the New Digital Vital 5 Check

Residents across southeast London are being invited to help design a new digital version of the Vital 5 Check — a tool that supports people to understand and improve their health. Your insight will help ensure the digital service is accessible, practical and genuinely useful for local communities, including those in Greenwich.

The Vital 5 Check is already available in selected pharmacies and community venues, offering a free, quick assessment delivered by NHS‑approved practitioners. In just 5–30 minutes, it gives people a clear picture of their health across five key areas known to have the biggest impact on long‑term wellbeing:

  • Healthy blood pressure

  • Stopping smoking

  • Safe drinking

  • Healthy mind

  • Healthy weight

At the end of the check, residents receive a personalised Vital 5 passport with practical tips and information on where to find support. For many people, it’s a simple first step toward better health.

A digital version is now being developed to sit alongside the in‑person checks. This will allow more people to complete the assessment at a time and place that suits them, while also helping NHS teams better understand the needs of local communities. For Greenwich residents, this could mean more tailored support, better‑planned services and easier access to health information.

To make sure the digital tool works for everyone, the project team is inviting residents to share their views. Those who sign up may be asked to join focus groups or interviews from 15 April 2026, offering feedback on early designs and helping shape the final version.

If you’d like to take part, simply complete the short form on the project page. Your input will help create a digital health tool that is inclusive, easy to use and genuinely beneficial for people across southeast London.
