Each November, Safeguarding Adults Week invites organisations across the country to reflect on what we can do to keep people safe from harm. This year’s theme is “Prevention: Act Before Abuse”. It’s a call to shift the safeguarding conversation from reaction to prevention, encouraging people to act earlier, listen sooner, and strengthen communities, so people feel confident seeking help.
Schools are one of the key spaces where young people learn about health, from vaccination teams and school nurses to PSHE lessons and assemblies. For many, this is where early conversations about wellbeing and practical access to support begin. But for those educated outside of schools, these touchpoints can look very different.
This Trustee Week, we’re celebrating the commitment of our trustees, local people who use their skills, lived experience, and insight to challenge inequality and drive fairer outcomes for Greenwich residents.
